Meet Our Team
Dr. David Hindman
Dr. Hindman is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience assisting his clients in articulating and meeting their personal goals and improving their overall health and functioning.
From the initial consultation, he provides his clients with the range of treatment options that are available to them. Together, we collaboratively develop a plan to address my client’s concerns and meet their identified goals. These plans and the treatment that follows are holistic in nature, and includes specific consideration of the client’s emotional, physical, relational and spiritual health goals. I am especially sensitive to the cultural and contextual factors that can affect both my client’s health and health outcomes.
The treatment he provides is both insight oriented and goal focused and intended to assist clients in meeting their goals as effectively as possible. Throughout the course of treatment, feedback is regularly solicited and provided to ensure that we are continuously and appropriately focusing our efforts on the client’s needs and goals. Between-session exercises and activities are frequently provided and encouraged to assist clients in applying their new insights into their own real-world situations.
He works with individuals, couples, and families to recover from depression, anxiety, traumatic events, and alcohol/substance use disorders. He also regularly works with individuals and families looking to address relationship issues, social anxiety, significant life transitions, loss/bereavement, and to optimize their personal performance and emotional wellbeing.
Dr. Hindman also has special training and experience in working with individuals, couples, and families who are affected by acute and chronic physical health conditions (such as diabetes, obesity, chronic pain, HIV/STDs, infertility, Lupus, families with children with health conditions or special needs, etc.). In addressing these issues, he assists clients to effectively manage these conditions and improve their overall quality of life.
If you are seeking assistance with any of these concerns, Dr. Hindman hopes to hear from you soon.
