Dr. Corey Pearson

A licensed psychological associate, Dr. Corey Pearson is a clinical psychologist that has provided
mental health services to various populations with diverse backgrounds. Dr. Corey Pearson has
provided mental health services to children, adolescents, families, and adults in underserved
areas throughout the County.


Dr. Corey Pearson works as a clinical psychologist providing various forms of mental health
services that include individual therapy, family therapy, substance use treatment, and group
therapy. Dr. Corey Pearson also specializes in various therapeutic interventions that include
cognitive behavior therapy, play therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. With a passion for
diversity and community, Dr. Corey Pearson also has vase experiences working within substance use settings and outpatient settings that include experience with working at the Department of Mental Health, Tarzana Treatment Center, Long Beach Job Corps, Vista Del Mar Outpatient Center, Sharper Future, and more. Dr. Pearson provides a fresh new look on the utilization of interventions within the mental health field. Dr. Pearson is a well-versed clinician in addressing common disorders of substance use, and childhood and adolescence with empirically based and influenced interventions.


Dr. Pearson earned a (B.A.) in Psychology from the illustrious HBCU Claflin University, South Carolina; a (M.A.) in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles; and a (Psy. D.) in clinical psychology, specializing in interdisciplinary psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology LA, where his dissertation focused on the examination of a receptive music therapy intervention such as listening to music, Examining the Selected Effects of Musical Elements on Depressive Symptoms in Young Adults.
