Dr. Yoshado Lang

(Located in Los Angeles office only)

A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Yoshado Lang provides a variety of crisis intervention counseling services and assessments to evaluate the need of case management for both adults and children. His extensive experience includes serving individuals, families, couples, youth and severely mentally ill adults with co-occurring disorders.

Having facilitated group sessions and psychoeducational classes with inmates in State correctional and Los Angeles County jail facilities, Dr. Lang developed and implemented a pilot program focusing on release preparation, symptom management, and psychiatric medication compliance. He currently provides individual and group therapy sessions to treat substance abuse and domestic violence issues, and facilitates anger management group sessions for court-mandated counseling.

With an emphasis on healing and strengthening communities, Dr. Lang performs summary evaluations of qualitative and quantitative data on programs and their impacts on the community.

Dr. Lang currently serves as President of the Southern California Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists.  The organization’s goals are to improve the quality of training for students and professionals, improve the quality of life of the African-American communities, and facilitate healthier lifestyles by promoting and coordinating mental and physical healing.

Dr. Lang earned a (B.A.) in Psychology, minoring in African American Studies, from Loyola Marymount University; and a (M.A.) and (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology, both emphasizing in Multicultural Community-Clinical Psychology, from Alliant International University/California School of Professional Psychology. He served a Post-Doctorate fellowship in the Neuropsychology Training Program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from 2006-2006.
