JOB DESCRIPTION

Emmada Psychology Center seeks motivated, self-starting clinicians with solid clinical and assessment skills, and are committed to working competently with our culturally diverse clientele.

The following is a description for the Licensed Clinical Associate Independent Contractor position at Emmada Psychology Center. The position has been created for licensed clinical psychologists.

Duties:

  • Conduct requested testing/assessments with Emmada clients that are commensurate with the testing/assessment capability of the clinician. Assessment domains to be determined by agreement between the Clinical Associate and Emmada directors.

  • Conduct psychotherapy services with Emmada clients.

  • Clinicians are expected to collect a minimum average monthly gross revenue of $2500. (Note - it takes about 6-client sessions per week at the psychologist’s insurance rate to maintain the $2500/month revenue.)

  • Adhere to the legal and ethical standards of the profession and maintain clinical care of clients consistent with Emmada standards.

  • Attend selected monthly Emmada staff meetings, (Attend one meeting per quarter).

  • Preferably provide 60-day notice in writing to Emmada Directors prior to terminating with Emmada, in order to meet ethical requirements of the profession regarding transfer of client care.

  • Maintain client files at Emmada during your employment and leave originals of the client files at Emmada when your employment ends (copies of the client files are expected to go with departing clinician).

  • Comply with Emmada employee policies and procedures.

  • Maintain valid licensure with the requisite professional psychology board(s) (e.g. CA Board of Psychology).

  • Perform other duties as agreed.

Los Angeles & Pasadena Office Hours/Room Scheduling

  • Emmada office space is available for use according to room availability as indicated in the Emmada scheduling platform. (Monday-Saturday)

  • Teletherapy is available to therapists and can be utilized from the confidential environment of their determination (a secure room from their home, the Emmada office, etc.).

Compensation:

Psychotherapy & Assessment

  • Licensed clinicians will be compensated at 60% of the initial $3000 of fees collected (not merely charged) for the services they provide in a month’s period.

  • Incentive Pay Scale on monthly collected revenues above $3000:

  • Licensed clinicians are compensated at 70% of the portion of their monthly collected revenues that exceed the initial $3000. [Example: $5000 in collected revenues will result in a monthly salary of $3200.]

60% of $3000 + 70% of $2000 = $1800 + $1400 = $3200 

  • Licensed clinicians are compensated at 80% of the portion of their monthly collected revenues that exceed the initial $3000 if the collected monthly revenue exceeds $12,000. [Example: $12,000 in collected revenues will result in a monthly salary of $9000.] 

60% of $3000 + 80% of $9000 = $1800 + $7200 = $9000

Qualifications needed:

  • CA Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist - in good standing

  • Experience in individual outpatient therapy and clinical assessment.

  • Willingness to develop marketing outreach for clinical and/or assessment services.

  • Good recommendations from previous colleagues/coworkers.

Contractor will receive:

  • Clinical support and consultation as needed with Emmada’s clinical team

  • Referrals (note: this varies with intake flow)

  • Use of Emmada Electronic Records Platform

  • Use of Emmada Teletherapy Platform

  • Use of Emmada Office Space (Pasadena and/or Los Angeles offices) when available. Office scheduling is to be done in coordination with Emmada directors to prevent overcrowding and double booking for offices.
